Making Early Menstruation a Celebration
On a mission to destigmatize early menstruation.
The Period Positivity Project (PPP) aims to help people who menstruate turn the event of their first period into a celebration by presenting them with a gift bag through the nurses office at school. Each PPP gift bag contains menstrual supplies, age-appropriate educational materials written with empowering language, and fun extras (stickers, a gift card, a small journal) to help each recipient feel that day one is a joyous milestone. The Period Positivity Project was founded by Sasha Cavell, a teenager who got her first period at age 10. Sasha is passionate about challenging the stigma around menstruation and creating access to menstrual products for everyone!
